Bio/Link in Bio

On a social creators profile they can write up to 150 characters next to their profile image - often used to write something about the creator him/herself (category if interest, specialities etc.). This bio is visible for everyone to see, also if a social creator has a private profile.

It's is the only place where one can place a click-able link. If someone says “link in bio” in the caption of a post, that means, you' are asked to open their profile page and in their bio you will see the relevant link that you can then click. It will open up in the browser or within Instagram itself to direct you to a website.

A brand can include the ask for social creators to add a link in their bio directing towards its social page(s). Some creators might want to charge extra payment for this feature, so it is important this is stated in the brief that they should include link in bio. We advise to ask for a link in bio no more than 3 days, because of relevance and possible additional costs after this period.
